Your new role

In your new role as a Mechatronics Design Engineer, you will work within the Engineering & Technical Services department and will report directly to the Engineering Manager. The core responsibilities are to design and optimise mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

• Create detailed mechanical designs and drawings using CAD
• Capture and detail existing system designs
• Ensure solutions meet safety, regulatory and industry standards
• Design of continuous improvement solutions
• Review opportunities to reduce cost through design, process and supply
• Implement product design by providing assembly instruction details, BOMs and technical publication information
• Liaise with other departments to review design issues and attend to the technical aspects of requests
• Liaise with and manage suppliers and third-party installers
• Conduct R&D to optimise and improve existing systems

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or similar
• Practical experience with mobile and/or industrial fluid power systems
• Practical experience with mechanical design
• Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge with system design experience
• Can demonstrate sound R&D methodology
• A team player with vision, and the ability to add value through one's own work
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
