WE'RE HIRING!
As the Fire Technician, you will perform a range of duties related to fire detection, prevention and suppression systems, maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment for MSS Group clients. This includes performing system upgrades, modifications, and retrofits.
This is full time permanent position report to Operations Manager, and part of team of 10 in Sydney. The successful applicant will receive a competitive base salary, fully maintained vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone, iPad, and Uniform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role will include but not limited to overseeing for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining, troubleshooting fire protection systems and equipment including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems and emergency lighting, to ensure compliance with Australian safety regulations and standards.
You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and other firefighting equipment and delivery of high-quality services or products. This position involves ensuring installation and maintenance comply with Australian codes and standards, compliance and documentation is reported in timely manner, providing emergency response to fire protection systems, and providing technical advice and recommendations customers regarding fire safety systems and equipment.
Training and development will be provided in fire protection technology, regulations, and industry best practices. You will be the point of contact for providing technical skills and knowledge on fire and alarms for MSS Group.
You will be required to travel to various client sites in Sydney and regional areas of New South Wales. You will be provided a company vehicle, Fuel card and toll tag.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role Ideally, you will have a Cert II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing with a minimum of 2-3 years working experience with another Fire company.
- Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and regulations (e.g., AS 1851, AS 2118). - Ability to inspect buildings and work autonomously.
- Proficiency with digital technology.
- Current Australian Driver's License
Must have technical knowledge of fire systems including but not limited too.

Valid Work Rights & Police Clearance
To be considered for this role you must have valid work rights in Australia, sponsorship is not available.
You must be an Australian Citizen, Australia Permanant Resident or have a valid working visa.
You must be able to obtain police clearance and working with children check.
