Due to continued business growth and an internal promotion, Tasman Cargo Airlines is on the lookout for a proactive, solutions-focused Duty Manager to join our Operations Coordination Centre (OCC) team in Sydney.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations Coordination Centre (HOCC), this role places you at the centre of airline operations—coordinating flights, managing disruptions, and keeping our network running smoothly.
You’ll also have the opportunity to develop and refine operational tools, processes, and systems to drive efficiency, improve workflows, and help modernise the way the team operates.
🕒 Shifts: Rotating 24/7 roster, including nights & weekends.
What You’ll Do:
✈️ Manage flight coordination – keeping our network running smoothly.
📑 Prepare & distribute key operational documents – ensure accurate, efficient communication.
🛫 Monitor flights & lead disruption management – make critical decisions under pressure.
📢 Engage with pilots, ground staff, leadership & external stakeholders – ensuring smooth collaboration.
💡 Develop and improve operational tools & workflows – introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working.

Who We’re Looking For:
You’ll have one of the following:
A qualification in Aviation, Airline Management or a related field; OR
A CPL/PPL; OR
at least a year of experience in airline operations, dispatch, or logistics.
Ideally, you'll also bring:
Resilience and a positive, adaptable mindset
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage disruptions.
Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
A passion for process improvement – excited about modernising operational workflows.
Eligibility requirements:
Must have full working rights in Australia & meet airport security/vaccination requirements.
Willingness to complete a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Screen and provide a current Police Clearance.
