About the role
As the Group Operations Manager and a Cafe Manager at the ROCKWELL Group Proprietary Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and seamless operations across our diverse hospitality portfolio in Sydney. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this full-time position will see you responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing innovative strategies, and leading a talented team to ensure our guests receive an exceptional experience every time.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our hospitality venues, including hotels, restaurants, and event spaces
- Develop and implement effective operational plans and policies to optimise efficiency, productivity, and profitability
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of passionate hospitality professionals, ensuring high levels of customer service and staff engagement
- Analyse key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing data-driven solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance guest experiences, and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations
- Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making process as a member of the senior leadership team
What we're looking for
- Significant experience (8+ years) in a senior operations management role within the hospitality industry
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing successful strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical capabilities, with a data-driven approach
- Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills
- Thorough understanding of hospitality industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
