Mobile Kitchens, the national leader in temporary commercial kitchen hire and installation, is seeking a hands-on Operations Coordinator to manage the flow of projects from mobilisation to completion—acting as the key link between clients, sales, and operations.
We work with high-profile clients across Defence, health, construction and hospitality sectors, delivering critical foodservice infrastructure when and where it’s needed.
About the Role
This is the perfect next step for someone with a strong background in kitchen operations, hospitality leadership, or site-based foodservice delivery.
You will:
Have a good understanding of commercial kitchens and food service operations
Be the primary point of contact for clients during their hire period.
Coordinate between Sales & Operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation of temporary kitchens
Oversee work orders and project progress tracking using Upkeep and Pipedrive
Visit installation sites as required to observe, support, and improve operational delivery
Provide redundancy support to Sales or Operations teams during staff leave or peak periods
Key Responsibilities
Manage the post-sale handover from Sales to Operations
Issue and track work orders for kitchen cleaning, maintenance, delivery, and retrieval
Maintain clear, regular communication with clients throughout each project
Attend project sites to oversee installation/decommissioning and identify improvements
Collaborate closely with both the Sales & Project Manager and the Operations Manager
Assist with quoting, scheduling, or project documentation during peak workloads or absences
What We’re Looking For
Experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, Catering Manager, or in foodservice operations
Strong leadership and multitasking ability
Ability to manage a small team
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Hands-on mindset and confidence attending job sites
Familiarity with kitchen layouts, install logistics, or project delivery
Ability to use or quickly learn systems like Upkeep and Pipedrive
Experience & understanding of the building industry and advantage
