Position Title: Junior Operations Manager

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year (plus super)
Package includes a company vehicle and mobile phone.

Remuneration will be based on experience and the level of responsibility taken on. Candidates who show strong initiative, technical capability, and leadership potential will be considered for the higher end of the salary range.

Position Summary:

The Junior Operations Manager – Caulking supports the planning, coordination, and execution of caulking projects across various job sites. Working under the guidance of senior leadership, this role assists in quoting, scheduling, team coordination, and site inspections. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with foundational experience in construction or operations and a strong willingness to learn and grow into a senior operations role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Support & Coordination

Assist in coordinating caulking teams, including Clean & Seal and Joint Caulking crews.

Support the deployment of teams to new jobs once contracts are won.

Monitor daily progress and help troubleshoot minor issues, escalating larger concerns to senior operations staff as needed.

2. Assisting with Project Estimations

Help prepare basic job quotes under supervision, including:

Measuring linear metres and identifying variations in gap width.

Identifying the need for removal of existing materials such as Able Flex or Cork Board.

Supporting material selection and colour matching.

Collaborate with senior staff to finalize and submit quotes to clients.

3. Client Interaction (with Supervision)

Support the process of obtaining client approvals on quotes and completed work.

Attend client meetings and job walk-throughs alongside senior team members to develop customer relationship skills.

Assist in ensuring client expectations are met and properly documented.

4. Site Inspection and Planning Assistance

Conduct initial site visits with the team to:

Take site photos for job documentation.

Measure square and linear metres, including caulking gap widths, using basic tools (e.g., measuring wheel).

Observe and report on site cleanliness and help determine if one or two cleaning passes are required.

Assist in identifying the correct sealer or joint caulking material under supervision.

Participate in planning shifts based on productivity metrics (e.g., estimated metres per shift).

5. Quality Assurance Support

Assist in conducting job close-out inspections with team leads.

Help gather final documentation and ensure job completion details are logged.

Support the final sign-off process by compiling reports and checking task lists.

Skills & Qualifications:

1–2 years of experience in construction, operations, or a related field (caulking industry experience preferred).

Keen interest in site operations, team logistics, and project coordination.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Willingness to learn estimation, quoting, and materials selection.

Ability to take accurate site measurements and operate basic tools confidently.

Comfortable working outdoors on active job sites and collaborating with field teams.
