The Company

We have partnered with a well-respected and multi-disciplinary firm in the heart of Melbourne CBD. They cover a broad range of services including accounting, consultancy and financial planning.

The Opportunity

This firm is seeking an experienced Office Manager / Administration Manager to lead their administrative team and support our firm’s daily operations. This role is based in the CBD, working full-time from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in public practice accounting firms under their belt in a similar position.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead and supervise two administrative staff members.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and reconciliation.
  • Oversee Xero and Xero Work, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with ASIC compliance and documentation.
  • Maintain records and ensure full utilisation of software and technology tools.
  • Provide general reception coverage and handle administrative tasks as required.
  • Support office operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • 2 years+ in public practice accounting firms in a similar position
  • Experience using Xero, XPM, ATO Mate, FYIdocs, BGL for superannuation funds, with ASIC knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a small team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
