About the role:
The purpose of this role is to enhance our Victoria retail customers' success by building strong partnerships and delivering exceptional account management, service, and support. By contributing to their success, in turn, you will drive business growth for us as the wholesaler.
This is a full-time position, responsible for securing sales, managing customer relationships, executing seasonal product rollovers, business development, merchandising, and providing training to store staff. You'll be working within an agreed call cycle and will spend most of your time on the road visiting our customers. There is a requirement for occasional international travel to HQ in Wellington, New Zealand.
The role would suit candidates based in and around Melbourne, Victoria.
An understanding of the fishing and hunting market would be a valuable advantage. This role also involves working cross-functionally with teams across the business, including the rest of our Australia & NZ Sales teams, Operations/Warehousing, Customer Care, Finance, Marketing, Product Design, and Supply Chain, mostly based in New Zealand, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Most importantly, you'll bring a strategic mindset to your sales approach, understanding and anticipating customer needs. Success in this position relies on your ability to listen, adapt, and develop strategic solutions that benefit both Evolve Outdoors and our valued partners.
Skills & experience required:
Proven sales and territory management experience
A proactive, solution-driven approach
Excellent negotiation skills, balanced with respect for company strategy, guidelines and values
Strong computer literacy skills with previous data systems exposure.
Personal attributes required
Passionate about the outdoors, fishing, and hunting
The ability to connect, engage with and understand a range of different colleagues and customers
Data driven & able to convert information into compelling sales pitches
Methodical, analytical, and organised with attention to detail
A positive "can do" attitude with a high level of self-awareness and desire for growth
Able to work independently, autonomously and remotely, whilst contributing positively to our team culture.
Additional Requirements
Full Clean Driver's Licence.
You must already be in Australia and have the right to work here.
