State Sales Manager – Queensland | Food & Beverage

About Us
Inalca Food & Beverage Australia is a fast-growing importer and distributor of premium food and beverage products. Backed by one of the world’s leading food companies, we bring exceptional Italian and international brands to the Australian market, servicing foodservice and retail customers nationwide. As we expand our presence in Queensland, we’re looking for a commercially driven State Sales Manager to lead our sales growth while continuing to manage key customer relationships in Brisbane.

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role based in Brisbane. As State Sales Manager, you’ll lead the QLD sales team, manage a portfolio of accounts, and work closely with procurement and supply chain to ensure commercial alignment and operational efficiency.

You’ll report directly to the National Sales Director and play a key role in translating our national strategy into local execution, while maintaining personal ownership of a defined Brisbane-based customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the QLD sales team to achieve revenue and margin targets

Manage and grow a portfolio of foodservice and retail customers in Brisbane

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the state

Collaborate with procurement to ensure product availability aligns with forecast and demand

Work with the supply chain team to manage inventory levels and delivery performance

Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts to support operational planning

Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategic direction

Drive execution of promotional and marketing campaigns in the field

Represent IF&B at key meetings and industry events

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in FMCG, foodservice, or wholesale sales (State, Regional, or Senior Account Manager level)

Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to team management

Demonstrated success in managing a customer base while driving broader team outcomes

Solid understanding of procurement/supply chain collaboration and forecasting processes

Data-driven, commercially minded and highly organised

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Based in Brisbane, with flexibility to travel across Queensland as required

Passion for quality food, operational excellence, and building long-term partnerships
