Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a full-time Project and Design Coordinator to join our team.
Join our close-knit team and become an integral part of our dynamic environment, working closely with Senior Project Managers and Company Directors to ensure the seamless execution of construction projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate necessary resources, including Labor, equipment, and materials to meet project objectives.
- Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets and proactively source alternate options to offset budget overruns.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, implementing quality control measures.
- Drafting & Documentation: Create and maintain design and construction documentation, including FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) documents.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication with internal staff and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
- Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential risks and issues to the Project Manager, recommending mitigation plans.
- Project Closeout: Assist in the project closeout phase, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and the project meets all contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Site Supervision: Oversee the supervision of small-scale projects, ensuring compliance with project plans and standards.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated success in similar project coordination roles, ideally within the construction industry.
- A customer-oriented mindset, capable of liaising professionally and pleasantly with internal staff and clients.
- Excellent time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility in your approach to work and changes in the work environment and project dynamics, with the ability to set and achieve deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Experience with drafting and design documentation.
Ideal candidates are architectural graduates, interior designers, or professionals with experience in the design and construct sector.
