The Company
As a global leader in the corporate sector, this organisation, based in Hawthorn East, partners with Australia's most recognisable brands to deliver practical solutions to various customer groups. With their Claims Specialist team undergoing rapid growth, they are now seeking a vibrant and passionate Customer Service professional to join their established team and achieve key objectives.
The Position
Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Answer and manage claims enquiries from calls, emails and online quickly and efficiently
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner
- Manage the customer claims process from lodgement, assessment to settlement
- Provide accurate and timely responses to all enquiries via phone and email, ensuring detailed notes, keeping customers well informed of claim status and progress
- Liaise regularly with internal and external departments regarding escalated issues, investigations and customer disputes
- Inform key stakeholders and third-party providers of updates on the claim progress
- Collaborate with others sharing knowledge to achieve team goals
- Innovative solutions to settle claims in a timely manner
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have worked in customer service, claims, or complaint management, and possess the following skills:
- Previous claims management experience (highly favourable)
- High attention to detail, strong comprehension, and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Quick thinking and the ability to stay productive under pressure
- A collaborative spirit and a genuine team player
- Complaint resolution or customer escalations
This role is working Monday to Friday with two rotating shifts: one from 7:00am to 3:00pm and the other from 9:00am to 5:00pm. You will primarily work the 9:00am to 5:00pm shift, with the 7:00am to 3:00pm shift scheduled for one month out of every four, on a quarterly rotation.
