Overview
An exciting opportunity presents itself for the right person to join the core nucleus of GLT. We have ambitious goals and are scouring the country for the next superhero to join our team. You will need experience across multiple disciplines and departments, namely: Sales, Reservations, Systems, Operations and Charters.
Areas of Responsibility
Customer relations - Efficiently handle and service reservations enquiries via a shared inbox and VOIP telephone system
Accurately quote and respond to enquiries via email
Accurately process bookings in the reservations system and undertake any associated administration tasks
Ensure all bookings are accurately finalised and ready for departure
Prepare driver guides for upcoming charters
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of tour products, regions, pricing and operators
Accurately finalise costs and ensure invoicing is closed off within departure timeframes
Maintain professional and open communication lines with tour operators, suppliers, operations departments, hotels, and other companies where required
Research and monitor competitor activity
Assist with digital and social media presence
Assist accounts/operations/marketing or any other function as requested by management
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Previous experience in a marketing/sales support or administrative role in the travel and tourism industry is highly advantageous
Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail, proactive in fixing issues and strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of, or skilled in reservation booking systems, G Suite (Or Microsoft Office Suite)
A background in sales or reservations working towards sales KPIs and conversion
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
The ability to be adaptable and willing to take on various ad-hoc responsibilities as required
Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise the multiple requirements of the job
