Based in Deloraine, this role suits someone in northern Tassie (Launceston, Devonport or surrounds), but relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

About the Role

We’re looking for a capable and hands-on Financial Controller to work closely with Tranex’s internal finance team and external management accountant. This role will lead financial reporting and operations, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and help drive financial performance across the business. Responsibilities:

Overseeing internal accounting, cash flow reporting, and budget tracking

Coordinating with internal and external accounting professionals

Preparing monthly financial reports and presenting them to the team

Supporting national project reporting and helping tighten up internal processes

Contributing to board-level strategy and decision-making

Travelling to project sites around Australia if needed (not often, but important)

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

3–7 years’ experience in finance, ideally in a civil or construction environment

Background in management accounting

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

CPA or working towards it is a bonus

Comfortable learning new systems (the business uses Jonah construction software — training is provided)

Down-to-earth, practical communicator who can handle both boardroom chats and site visits
