Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be key in driving continuous improvement across the finance function, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making with insightful management accounting.

Description

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ensure all statutory and internal reporting requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
• Manage the month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Work with key stakeholders to provide insights and improve financial planning accuracy.
• Analyse actuals versus budget/forecast and provide clear reporting and commentary to management.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, FBT, and other tax requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors during audits and respond to audit queries promptly.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and support scalability.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and help drive performance across the business.

Profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with CA/CPA certification
• Proven experience in financial accounting, with a strong understanding of management accounting
• Experience within a fast-paced, industrial, or manufacturing environment is a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, compliance, and tax obligations
• High level of accuracy, analytical ability, and a solutions-focused mindset
• A proactive, change-driven mindset with the ability to adapt and innovate
