Role Overview:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions. This role supports financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, and forecasting activities to enable accurate decision-making and ensure the financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries.
BAS returns, accounts payable/receivable.
Fixed asset management, depreciation entries.
Management reports, variance analysis.
Regulatory financial reports, government funding acquittals.
Annual reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit support.
Compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, service providers.
Implement process improvements.
Provide financial insights to departments and management
To best support our Finance Team, we are looking for someone with:
Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
CPA or CA qualification (or in progress) preferred.
3+ years in financial accounting and audit support.
Proficiency in Xero preferred.
Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Collaborative and relationship-building abilities.
