This hybrid Senior Financial Accountant role (3 days in our East Melbourne office, 2 remote) is an integral member of our Finance team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data, overseeing compliance, leading financial reporting processes, driving process improvement, and providing mentoring to the finance operations team. This role plays a critical part in helping to ensure the organisation’s financial processes and practices are effective and efficient.

Lead core accounting operations, ensuring accurate and efficient month-end and year-end close processes

Deliver timely financial and management reports to support strategic decision-making

Oversee key financial functions including AP, payroll audits, revenue reconciliation, and statutory reporting (IAS, BAS, FBT, financial statements)

Manage cash flow and treasury activities while ensuring full compliance with Australian financial regulations

Mentor the Finance team and drive continuous improvement by optimising systems, processes, and controls

Qualifications

You’re a CA or CPA-qualified Financial Accountant with 5+ years of experience and a solid grounding in reporting, compliance, and tax

Known for your technical precision and analytical thinking, you have a strong ability to solve complex financial challenges

You are a confident communicator and collaborator who builds strong relationships across all levels

Hands-on and adaptable, you are ready to lead in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and rapidly growing environment

You're a natural mentor and results-driven team player, with integrity, initiative, and a sharp eye for detail
