You’ll work closely with the Studio Director to keep daily operations running smoothly, while ensuring that the team is motivated and clients are happy. In this rare part time management role, you and your job share counterpart will keep projects moving forward, problem solve issues for junior staff, and bring your experience as a teacher to our vibrant and busy team.

Who You Are

You’re someone who thrives on responsibility and enjoys making sure things run smoothly. You have a strong sense of accountability and are comfortable managing people and processes. Whether it’s managing staff or helping clients, you bring empathy, great communication, and a solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.

Objective 1 - Operations

Your first objective is to oversee daily operations - whether it’s solving a scheduling conflict or addressing an unexpected issue. You’re hands-on and ready to figure out whatever comes your way. Your attention to detail and ability to keep calm under pressure mean that problems don’t stay problems for long. Your sense of responsibility and organisational flair ensures you spot potential problems before they happen.

Objective 2 - Client Relationships

Your second focus is on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients - Whether it’s handling client enquiries, addressing complaints, or gathering feedback, you ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression. Your natural empathy and excellent communication skills enable you to build trust, making clients feel valued and heard. You know that happy clients mean a thriving studio business.

Objective 3 - Team Development

Your third objective is to assist the Studio Director in managing the studio team. You will be involved at all stages - from hiring and training, to mentoring and development. You are the first point of contact for team members, and filter information up and down. Your knowledge of the studio and involvement and skill at managing casual staff enables you to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.

Objective 4 - Strategic Support

Your final responsibility is to support the Studio Director with projects and initiatives. This might involve assisting with special events, coordinating timelines, or contributing to strategic planning. You’ll help keep projects on track, making sure tasks are completed and deadlines met. Your pragmatism and sense of urgency enables quick decisions and keeps us on track.
