About the role
Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for coffee and exceptional customer service? We are an iconic specialty café in Melbourne, known for our unique offerings and warm atmosphere, and we are looking for a Venue Manager to lead our team.
As our Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cafe's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the café's success. This is a full-time position based in our North Melbourne cafe location.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the daily operations of the cafe, including staffing, inventory management, and financial reporting
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer service across the venue
- Developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to drive customer traffic and increase revenue
- Liaising with suppliers and managing vendor relationships to ensure the cafe is well-stocked and delivering quality products
- Fostering a positive and productive work environment for the cafe team
- Continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar venue management role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Thorough understanding of food safety, liquor licensing, and other relevant regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
