Huglo Solar is a 100% Australian-owned and operated business. As a New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) retailer and Solar Accredited Australia (SAA) installer, we offer tailored solutions based on individual customer needs.

Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking to add a junior sales and service assistant to our Canberra based team.

Role Overview

  • Adhere to our core values of honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct in every aspect of your work.
  • Engage professionally with customer inquiries, providing information about solar benefits and the range of products available at Huglo Solar.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by offering customised recommendations for solar solutions based on each customer's requirements.
  • Collect essential information for solar designs and record these details in our CRM software.
  • Conduct introductory consultations with new customers, over the phone, video chat and in person.
  • Send solar and battery proposals to customers, follow up with calls and emails to gather feedback, address queries, and support customers through the decision-making process.
  • Utilise CRM tools to manage a pipeline of active customer proposals, focusing on converting these opportunities into partnerships with Huglo Solar.
  • Provide post-sale service, including installation check-ins, assisting customers in setting up online system monitoring, and helping them find suitable electricity plans.
  • Become knowledgeable about solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other offerings from Huglo Solar. Learn about various government incentive programs and financing options available to customers seeking solar and battery solutions.
  • Assist in designing solar system proposals using Pylon.
  • Use business development skills to expand referral networks and sources of leads.

Skills and Qualities

  • Proactive and organised with the ability to manage calendars, schedule meetings, oversee customer pipelines, and follow up promptly.
  • Focus on prioritising customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • While prior experience in the solar industry or sales is welcomed, it is not required for this role.
  • A desire to become knowledgeable about a diverse array of solar products and consumer energy solutions (including batteries, EV products, and electricity market dynamics).
  • Previous experience in phone-based sales or service roles, regardless of industry, would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient with computer software including CRM platforms and Microsoft tools.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to achieve both sales and service targets.
  • Proactive, dedicated, and detail-oriented problem solver. Possession of a valid driver’s license.
