Your Role:
The Practice Manager is the first point of contact for all staff, and is responsible for the daily operations of the clinic which includes, but is not limited to;
- Knowledge of BestPractice (Required)
- Management of reception, nursing and GP staff
- Management of rosters and leave for all employees and independent doctors
- Practice accreditation (due March 2027)
- Liaison with community and external parties
- Business development
- General administration including reception
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice
- Assist with Business planning and development
- Recruitment of staff including doctors and allied health practitioners, including contract negotiation with future staff personal
- Develop and Monitor systems, processes and procedures with the ability to recognise and implement changes and improvements as necessary
- Reporting to practice owner.
- Maintain and control debtors, creditors, and general ledger to ensure maximum profitability and cash flow and compliance with all taxation, record keeping and other statutory requirements
- Lead the human resource function, with a key focus on enhancing and strengthening a high-performance culture, via systems, recruitment, induction, performance management, team building and ongoing training
- Maintain and nurture a positive environment in which a diverse workforce can grow and develop
- Knowledge of the Medicare system (Services Australia) including billing, batching, online claiming, MBS interpretation and PRODA including PIP protocols
- Create a productive, friendly, and enjoyable work environment
- Ability to build a professional relationship with doctors, administration and nursing staff, allied health practitioners, drug representatives, patients and third-party vendors
- Conflict resolution skills

- Best Practice experience (Must have).
- Works with integrity and honesty at all times.
- Have the ability to work cooperatively and with autonomy.
- High attention to detail and must have excellent organisational skills.
- The Practice Manager is expected to engage with the wider Better Medical group network of practices by attending key meetings, sharing knowledge, and implementing business objectives as directed. The Practice Manager will make key decisions to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources, supported by and reporting to the clinic owner.
- The Practice Manager will strive to empower staff through a culture of education and support the group philosophies of teamwork, trust, unity, and respect.
- Excellent Word and Excel skills.
- CPR/First Aid.
Job Type: Permanent - 24 to 38 hours per week.
