The role
Manage purchasing and logistics for a range of parts, components and finished goods, mostly by sea.

The responsibilities
Specifically this role involves:

• placing orders with international suppliers and raising purchase orders.
• coordinating with suppliers to have goods shipped to Australia, managing the movement of inventory from ports to warehouses or directly to customers.
• communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, clients and internal teams either face to face, by phone or email, to ensure everyone is kept informed of progress towards the final ETA.
• maintenance of records in SAP.
• problem resolution.

The candidate
In order to be successful in your application, you will have:

• a minimum of four years' experience in a purchasing and logistics role sourcing products, parts or components from overseas.
• experience with SAP will be an advantage.
• the desire and ability to learn new aspects of supply chain management.
• formal qualifications in logistics will be highly regarded.
• demonstrated flexibility around duties and team work are essential.
• preference will be given to those who can and will work 100% in the office.
