ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is to provide administrative support to the Development team in order to meet overall team objectives. This position will provide support in donor services, marketing and fundraising, including but not limited to: fundraising campaigns, email and direct mail, website administration, marketing assistance and supporting Aurora’s social media channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing and maintaining accurate supporter records
- Assuring integrity of data and records and applying appropriate coding etc.
- Grant scheduling including timelines for renewals, reporting and other deadlines
- Contract administration support
- Moves management
- Provide donor services, email communications and direct support to Aurora’s community of donors, as directed by Head of Advancement and Development Managers
- Meeting coordination, scheduling, agenda creation and minute-taking
- Operational support for the Aurora website
- Financial administration i.e invoice creation/coding, issuing receipts, processing pledge forms
- Event coordination
- Responsible for updating CRM database and records, including but not limited to:
- Assist the Head of Advancement and team members with the creation of donor briefs, talking points, and other content for use by Development team
- Work with the Head of Advancement and team members to implement fundraising appeals, newsletters and other communications via direct mail and email.
- Produce fundraising collateral in collaboration with the Development Managers, including brochures, flyers, digital advertising, presentations and more
- Work closely with Development Managers and Head of Development to support the development of funding opportunities, including
- Application content
- Coordinator of funder reports
- Tracking Moves Management in CRM
- Support Development and Marketing Manager to source, schedule and post social media content to promote Aurora’s brand, fundraise and highlight events/other activities

About you:
- Passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
- Be a leader who prioritises purpose and people and is dedicated to achieving excellence, promoting well-being, and fostering personal and professional growth.
- Prior experience working in partnerships, sponsorship or fundraising for a brand, agency, or charity in the Not-For-Profit sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, organisations, histories, and the strengths and issues facing Indigenous people in Australia in meeting their aspirations
- Promote cultural, psychological, and child safety and encourage an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Dynamics, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge and/or other fundraising-related software.
- Experience using Microsoft suite of programs
