$160,000 - $180,000 + superannuation

Role Purpose

The Senior Building Surveyor is required to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of their team and the organisation. Achieving recognition as an authority in a specialised field of major importance to the organisation or recognised as a leader within the organisation in a broad area of specialisation or an all rounder with recognised success in business development and established client base.

The Senior Building Surveyor is expected to embrace the working culture and add dynamism to the team environment in the office through active participation and engagement with fellow colleagues in the office and those throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake building inspections and provide effective building control services with a focus on improved building control, safety and general amenity in order to achieve a level that suits the expectations of the customer and broader community.
• Carry out examination of application for building permits with respect to the construction of new buildings, alterations, repairs and change of occupancy in existing buildings in accordance with the provisions of the Building Act 1993, the Building Regulations 2018 and any other relevant legislation.
• Planning and managing complex large scale projects. This will include coordinating the preparation of: cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, client reports and monitoring project progress, project scheduling/resourcing, and meeting deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications:

• Diploma OR Degree in Building Surveying
• Registration as a Building Surveyor in Australia (VIC, NSW, TAS, SA, WA, QLD)
