About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Building Surveyor - Unlimited / Certifier (Level 1) to join our team at BSA Building Surveyors. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing strategic, high-quality, and timely building surveying services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including building permits, occupancy permits, and compliance certificates
• Undertake comprehensive building inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
• Conduct compliance and Essential Safety Measure inspections
• Provide expert advice to clients on building regulations, construction methods, and best practices
• Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and industry professionals
• Support our commercial team
• Mentor and support our graduates and cadet members of the building surveying team
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry regulations, technologies, and trends

What we're looking for

• Current registration as a Building Surveyor - Unlimited in Victoria is essential. For Certifier (Level 1) applicants, registration with the Victorian Building Authority will be required within 6 months of employment
• Extensive experience as a building surveyor, with a demonstrated track record of excellence
• Experience in plan checking and building compliance audits for Class 2-9 Buildings
• Thorough knowledge of the Construction industry, with a strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and best practices
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders
• Adaptability and a proactive approach to managing changing priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
