About the Role

United Petroleum is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Alice Springs. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day retail operations, ensuring smooth performance, excellent customer service, and compliance across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and motivate retail staff to achieve business objectives.

Create and manage employee rosters, ensuring optimal staffing levels.

Oversee stock control, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.

Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.

Handle escalated customer issues and ensure professional resolution.

Manage daily cash handling, banking, and reconciliation processes.

Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness standards are met.

Prepare and report on sales, fuel, and stock performance.

Liaise directly with suppliers regarding stock orders and deliveries.

Maintain compliance with all workplace OH&S and food safety requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in retail supervision or management.

Experience in a service station, roadhouse, or similar retail environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.

Basic food handling and storage knowledge (desirable).

Sound understanding of OH&S compliance and reporting.

Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office.
