What you will be doing:
• Develop and maintain financial models: Build and manage complex financial models to support analysis of costs, budget planning, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Drive process improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial and operational processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Lead technological advancements: Develop and implement innovative solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools, to improve financial reporting and budget management.
• Create and deploy reporting tools: Design, build, and roll out advanced dashboards, reports, and analytics to meet the evolving needs of the finance team and stakeholders.
• Deliver actionable insights: Analyse data from multiple sources to provide insights that support decision-making and align with organisational goals.
• Ensure governance and consistency: Manage reporting frameworks to maintain accuracy, standardisation, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Support change management: Lead the rollout of new tools and processes, engaging with stakeholders and providing training to ensure successful adoption.
• Build stakeholder relationships: Foster positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align financial strategies and ensure effective communication.
• Ensure compliance and governance: Maintain adherence to relevant government legislation, departmental policies, and procedures in relation to financial, administrative, and operational matters.
