In the role of Principal System Analyst, you will engage and communicate with staff at all levels and disciplines across the organisation to ensure business requirements and functional solutions for the Digital Licence app and the Queensland Digital Identity for the Queensland Digital Identity Services Branch team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business, are articulated and translated into solutions that are fit for purpose.
The key challenges in this role are to Identify interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project objectives are achieved and establish effective teams and relationships with stakeholders.
• designing, implementing, and improving technical systems
• bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, translating business needs.
• Eliciting, defining, documenting and managing the requirements for the projects or work packages.
• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
• Conducting meetings, requirements workshops, presentations and working closely with stakeholders.
• Work within an Agile team adapting and developing best practice analysis and design techniques and methodologies.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge of the functional aspects and associated business processes of the systems that support the Digital Licence and the Queensland Digital Identity.

This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the TMR Agreement conditions apply to this position.
