
Principal Debt Resolution Officer

This is an exciting opportunity within the Fines and SPER Group at QRO.
In this role, you will conduct and lead complex debt recovery actions, working closely with stakeholders, legal advisors and collections officers to achieve optimal collections outcomes and compliance with relevant legislation. You will be a primary contact for SPER engagement and will be responsible for providing advice to senior management regarding complex and escalated debt collections matters.
To be successful in this role you will need extensive experience in:
• extensive experience in interpreting and applying legislation in a penalty debt environment
• exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advisors
• strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and determine viable solutions
A typical day as a Principal Debt Resolution Officer may include:
• reviewing or creating briefing notes and responses to service complaints and ministerial correspondence
• collaborating with project teams and internal and external stakeholders
• interpreting and applying legislation to business processes
• preparing and coordinating reports and audits
• identifying and implementing service improvement initiatives.
