Urban Planner
Salary: $87,235 to $101,636 per annum
Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
Full Time Permanent Position

An exciting opportunity is available to join the City of Joondalup Planning Approvals team as an Urban Planner. We are a friendly and fun team committed to facilitating high quality and environmentally sensitive development that will shape the City’s future.
In this role you will participate in a broad range of land use planning activities with a key focus on the assessment of development and subdivision applications. This is a great opportunity to increase your urban planning knowledge within a supportive team environment.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please submit your resume and a cover letter (maximum 3 pages each). Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria:
Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the preparation, assessment and processing of development applications, subdivision applications and subdivision clearances.
High level of experience and ability to interpret planning legislation and documents, Local Laws, information sheets, policies and procedures.
High level of negotiation, decision making, analytical and research skills.
The successful candidate should have completed a tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or closely related discipline).
