About The Opportunity

The Business Support Officer provides a professional first point of contact for both internal and external customers by responding to enquiries and redirecting as required to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of information or service.

The role undertakes multiple business support activities for the functional areas of Water Services, including the processing of customer requests, invoices, applications, and reports; preparing correspondence; managing credit card reconciliations; and supporting water interruption notifications and drainage plan requests.

You will also utilise corporate systems and the digital tools of the Management Operating System (MOS) to support the operational and technical areas of Water Services, working collaboratively with other team members to maintain a professional and efficient customer service environment.

About You

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer-focused administration office or business support environment.
  • A high level of computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to learn and apply digital tools within the Management Operating System (MOS) and other corporate software.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in business or administration.
  • Experience working in local government or the water industry.
