Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Bookkeeper based in Sydney, NSW Millers Point. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial tasks such as maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and generating financial statements. Additional responsibilities include managing bookkeeping tasks using accounting software Xero and Construction software for Purchase Order creation, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and providing support for financial decision-making processes.

This position requires 2-3 days per week commitment.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Financial Statements, Bookkeeping, and Journal Entries (Accounting)

Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience required

Experience with Accounting Software and solid knowledge of general Finance principles

Specific experience with Xero accounting software is required

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Relevant certifications or a diploma/degree in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is advantageous

Experience in the construction industry is a plus
