Victoria Park Social Club is a rustic city venue located in historic Victoria Park, Adelaide. With a backdrop of humble red brick, white picnic tables, fig trees and festoon lights, this inside outside space is complimented by a deliciously Mediterranean influenced menu. Offering both relaxed dining and private events, the venue is growing rapidly and is now seeking a full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead the team and deliver exceptional a la carte services and private functions.

Role Description

The ideal candidate is passionate about food, drink, and honest hospitality. They'll thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and be motivated by building strong customer relationships. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while curating exceptional event experiences and overseeing the day-to-day rhythm of restaurant operations.

A genuine enjoyment of connecting with people — both customers and staff — is essential. This role is deeply service-oriented; it's your job to make the venue, and people in it, feel good. Victoria Park Social Club offers excellent working conditions and a genuine commitment to work–life balance in hospitality. The position operates on a four-day roster, predominantly Thursday to Sunday.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of restaurant supervision experience is required for this position plus a can-do attitude is essential

Key responsibilities include:

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to deliver an elevated guest experience

Leading restaurant services and the execution of special events (function experience is preferred but we offer flexibility for candidates with strong hospitality backgrounds)

Supporting and inspiring staff training, team development and positive workplace culture

Define, implement and uphold service standards, systems and processes for whole team

Demonstrated ability to work proactively, stay highly organized, and manage time independently.
