Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for managing daily operations of our flagship store in coordination with the existing store manager, while also overseeing the performance and operations of all online retail platforms. This is a dual-focus leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and a passion for both in-store and digital retail excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective retail strategies to maximise in-store and online sales performance.
Oversee daily operations of the physical store, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, customer service, and visual merchandising.
Manage and update online product listings across multiple e-commerce platforms (e.g. The Iconic, Myer, Amazon, Shopify), ensuring accuracy of product details, pricing, and availability.
Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels across both online and offline channels, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners for timely replenishment.
Plan and review pricing, seasonal promotions, and marketing activities in line with market demand and customer trends.
Analyse sales reports and digital analytics to identify patterns, guide purchasing and marketing decisions, and maintain profitability.
Lead and supervise retail staff including training, rostering, performance monitoring, and delegation of duties.
Deliver exceptional customer service, both in-person and online (email, messaging platforms, customer portals), including handling complaints, returns, and enquiries.
Provide high‑quality service and personalised styling advice to customers in‑store and online, ensuring any issues, returns, or complaints are resolved promptly.
Maintain accurate financial and stock records, monitor budgets, and report regularly on store performance and expenditure to management.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and retail operational standards.
Plan and implement promotional activities and seasonal campaigns to drive foot traffic and online visibility.
Report to the management team the sales performance metrics, staffing issues, sales targets, and operational improvements.
Skills and Experience Required
At least 3 years of relevant experience in retail management or small business ownership in the fashion or consumer goods sector.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading a team.
Strong understanding of retail operations including inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
High standards of personal presentation and customer engagement.
