Five Good Friends
Posted 10 hours ago
Hi there! We're Five Good Friends, an approved aged care and NDIS service provider. We help our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes by wrapping a care team around them and their families. Our innovative software coordinates in the background so our teams can focus on what matters most - delivering exceptional care.
We’re proud to be a place where purpose meets impact. Every day, our work contributes to helping people live their best lives, and that starts with our people.
As demand grows—over 30,000 home visits a month—we’re investing in our rostering team to ensure every Member receives the care they need, when they need it. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a full-time Rostering and On Call Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver seamless, responsive care across Australia.
Because when you're among friends, you solve problems, support each other, and make a real difference - together.
What you’ll do and who you’ll work with:
You’ll be part of our Rostering Support Team, working closely with Helper Coordinators and the Team Leader to ensure all scheduled Member visits are delivered. You’ll play a key role in arranging coverage for emergency and short-term vacancies, and help match Members with the right Helpers.
We’re hiring for one full-time role with shifts Tuesday–Saturday
Our rostering team operates 365 days a year, with active shifts:
Mon–Fri: 6:00am–8:00pm AEST
Sat–Sun: 6:00am–5:00pm AEST
You may also be rostered for On Call support outside these hours.
We’re welcoming applicants from Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
Your day-to-day will include:
Using our software and app to identify and contact suitable Helpers for short-term, one-off, and emergency services.
Rostering both independent contractor and employee Helpers.
Collaborating with Care Teams to creatively solve rostering challenges.
Communicating roster changes to Members and their Care Teams.
Answering hotline calls and texts from Helpers and Members, triaging and resolving queries.
Ensuring Helper compliance with aged care and NDIS screening requirements.
Do you have what it takes?
1+ years of rostering experience (essential).
Experience in health, aged care, community care, or disability sectors (highly regarded).
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Understanding of Aged Care and NDIS workforce compliance (or willingness to learn).
Familiarity with the Fair Work Act and SCHADS award (highly regarded).
Strong tech skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
What’s in it for you?
The way we work and the perks we offer are designed to help you live a fulfilling life. The work we do is meaningful, and the problems we solve are interesting.
Competitive salary + applicable weekend award allowances.
SCHADS award benefit: Work 10 weekend shifts/year = 5 weeks annual leave.
Flexible working options.
$500 yearly wellness allowance to spend on anything that helps you feel good outside of work.
Extra time off – after 2 years, you’ll earn an extra day of annual leave each year.
Free, confidential counselling through our Employee Assistance Program.
Parental leave support – we top up wages for eligible caregivers, and primary caregivers get extra super during their first year of unpaid leave.
Free Five Good Friends membership (worth over $7,000/year) for a loved one receiving care.
We’re a genuinely great place to work – our employee engagement scores are 17% above the industry average.
Okinawa trip – after 5 years with us, we’ll send you to Japan to visit the community that inspired Five Good Friends. Flights, hotel, and transfers are all covered.
