Midwest Community Living Assoca
Posted 3 days ago
Twenty years ago, a group of Geraldton parents started Midwest Community Living Association because they wanted their children with disability to have real lives, homes of their own, choices that mattered, inclusion that wasn't just a buzzword. That vision is still what gets us up in the morning. We are truly local. Our support workers, our administration team, our Board, our customers, and their families all choose to live in the Midwest region. We know this community, its strengths, its people, its heart. The staff who've been here for 10, 15, or even 20 years have stayed because this organisation authentically walks the talk. We live and work by our values, and when we say: "we love what we do," we're not reading from a corporate script. If you want an employer where long tenure is proof of integrity, where good humans stick around because the values are real, then this might be the role for you.
This role is available due to recent positive restructures, and internal progression. We’re looking for values-aligned people who are good at, and care about, what they do to join our growing team.
What we do differently:
The Job Share Advantage
This is not a solo mission. You will share this role and portfolio 50/50 with another experienced Support Coordinator. We provide tools, systems, and the structure to ensure you can focus on what you do best.
What does this mean?
Someone who gets the complexity when you debrief/ handover
Shared mental load on tricky cases
They’ll assist coverage for you when you’re off, and you the same for them
Fresh perspectives and complementary skills
You are never alone in the tough moments
The roster that gives you your life back
3-2-3-2 pattern = you work 3 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days. Then your partner takes over.
Every second week, you get a long weekend. That is 26 long weekends a year to rest, recover and spend quality time outside of work.
What you bring
Minimum 2 years as an NDIS Service Coordinator (we need someone who can hit the ground running)
Relevant qualification (Diploma/Degree in Community Services, Disability, Social Work, or related field)
Incredible organisational ability to juggle, adapt, prioritise and stay calm under pressure
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance Certificate
First Aid and CPR Certificates
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
A sense of reassurance and direction during complex situations
What makes someone exceptional in the role:
You are passionate about the work we do and being a part of achieving positive outcomes for people with a disability
You genuinely respect participant choice and control
You can adapt your approach, switching between interactions with versatile stakeholders
You are a doer! You thrive in fast-paced environments, are able to re-prioritise according to the day’s changing objectives, taking action as necessary and keeping relevant parties in the loop.
You can set boundaries without being cold
You are comfortable with ambiguity and change
You know when to escalate and when to problem-solve
You are an excellent communicator, who is comfortable sharing your caseload and work in close partnership with your colleague (job-share arrangement), taking a ‘one team’ approach. Together, you apply attention to detail to your communication, to ensure clarity and high-quality portfolio management so nothing gets missed.
What we offer

High-quality mentorship from the Senior Service Coordinator, and skill-sharing amongst the Service Coordinator team
Ongoing professional development
Leadership with experience and expertise in the industry
Admin support from Service Administrator
Culture:
We value quality over quantity
We back our team during challenging circumstances and busy periods
