About the role

Valentis is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy oilfield service workshop located in Perth Airport, WA. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians and ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of maintenance, repair and preservation of subsea equipment.

What you'll be doing

Manage the workshop team, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing all maintenance and repair activities

Coordinate the efficient use of workshop resources, tools, and equipment to maximise productivity

Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards, in compliance with industry regulations

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the workshop team, helping to develop their skills and expertise

Liaise with customers, communicating progress and addressing any concerns in a timely and professional manner

Manage inventory and parts ordering to maintain optimal stock levels

Prepare detailed reports on workshop performance, productivity, and costs

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience in a similar workshop manager or team leader role within the oil and gas industry.

Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with a background in hydraulics.

Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Proficient in using workshop management software and other relevant digital tools

Commitment to upholding safety standards and a focus on continuous improvement

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
