ICT Systems Test Engineer

Magma Computing Solutions Pty Ltd requires the services of an ICT Systems Test Engineer to complement our existing team.

We are a Services-Delivery employer, providing solutions to our various clients in Telecommunications, Insurance, Government, & Banking.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reviewing software functional designs; Providing test estimations.

Designing and maintaining test plans, test conditions, test specifications, test scripts and procedures.

Requirements analysis and ensuring full requirement coverage through Test Cases.

Preparing detailed test documentation and creating automated and manual test scripts.

Performing functional, business process and regression testing.

Managing builds to the test environments.

Co-ordinating User Acceptance Testing and Defect Management

Drive continuous improvement of processes

Ensure data security, back-ups, and disaster recovery testing are completed regularly.

Support end-users with training, knowledge transfer, and user guides.

Contribute to ICT governance, compliance audits, and system change management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory:

Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science – equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree

Minimum 5 years of work experience in the field of Systems Engineering

High Degree of familiarity with SQL (developing / testing / tuning).

Real-world experience with Control-M, Oracle Database.

Python, Unix Shell Programming and Scripting

Tridents Certified Test Diagnostic Specialist

Certified DevOps Professional

Highly Regarded:

Agile Project and Access Management (JIRA, Confluence, SailPoint)

Exposure / Familiarity with IBM WebSphere DataStage

Exposure / Familiarity with DBeaver SQL toolset, Oracle SQL Developer

The successful candidate should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or any degree relevant to the field of Systems Engineer) with at least 5 years of full-time work experience in the field of ICT Systems Test Engineer (preferably a minimum of 3 years in Australia at a reputable IT company).

The candidate should be self-motivated, able to work well under pressure, and a team-player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail is important in thisq role. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and is a self-starter. The candidate must be hard working, organised, creative and passionate about working in a team environment. He or she will be required to work in a high-pressure environment.

We have a good team environment based in NSW and QLD. The position will attract an annual base salary of AUD $120,000.00 plus superannuation.
