Pathfinder Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic Managed Services Provider located in Sydney. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Systems Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, client based environment.

Responsibilities

Be the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, cloud, and network issues.

Deliver full cycle projects, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

Lead and implement key technology initiatives such as:

Microsoft 365 migrations and deployments (Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).

Azure and hybrid infrastructure builds, including identity, security, and automation.

Cybersecurity rollouts aligned with Essential Eight, NIST, and best-practice frameworks.

Infrastructure refreshes across servers, firewalls, routers, wireless, and virtualization platforms.

Write technical documentation and knowledge articles for both internal and client use.

Drive automation and scripting improvements (PowerShell, Batch, or other scripting tools).

Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver proactive support.

Your Experience

Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment is a MUST.

Advanced technical knowledge in:

Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Teams)

Azure (IaaS, PaaS, AD Connect, conditional access)

Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)

Networking and security (firewalls, VPNs, routing/switching)

Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Strong scripting and automation capabilities (PowerShell essential).

Proven ability to deliver project lifecycles from design and planning through to deployment and post support.

Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft 365, Azure Administrator/Engineer, or CCNA/CCNP.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
