Customer Service Officer – NSW Government

We are currently seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to join a NSW Government Service Centre located in Goulburn. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to further their customer service career within a reputable Government environment.

Role Details:

• 1 x Part Time – 20 hours per week
• 1 x Full Time – 35 hours per week

• Location: Goulburn (on-site only)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Duration: Anticipated until 16 May 2026 with potential to extend
• Pay Rate: $37.39 per hour + Super

About the Role:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be assisting the public with enquiries, providing timely and accurate information, resolving general service issues and ensuring high-quality customer experience across face-to-face and administrative support functions.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–3 years customer service experience (call centre, admin or retail)
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Previous Government experience highly regarded (not essential)
• Office-based experience required
• Intermediate computer capability – competent with MS Office (Outlook & Teams in particular), strong email etiquette, confident typing, mouse/monitor navigation
• Ability to learn new systems quickly (tech savvy and adaptable)

Training Requirements:

Training is delivered in two 5-day blocks and will be completed at a training facility either in Coffs Harbour or Penrith, NSW. Travel to one of these locations will be required for training periods & expenses will be covered by the department.
