Gilberts Fresh Market is growing! With two thriving locations already delivering top-quality meat and service, we're preparing to open our third site in February 2026—and we're looking for a qualified butchers to join our team.

Based at our Midland location, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated butcher who has a passion for customer service to join our expanding team at the start of the new year.

About the Role

The role will commence at the start of the new year at our Winthrop store where we are currently producing meat for our other two busy stores. After a short period at Winthrop you will be based at Gilberts Fresh Midland in the meat department. Positions for both morning and afternoon are available. Full time preferred but also open to casual positions.

About You

Experienced butcher with strong work ethic.

Excellent knowledge of meat cuts, preparation methods, and retail presentation.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Passionate about fresh food, customer service, and team development.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Trade certificate in butchery is required.
