Key Account Manager – FMCG & Consumer Electrical Retail
 Western Sydney Suburbs, NSW | $120k to $130k + Super | Full-Time | Office-Based

With more than 80 years of history, this Australian-owned organisation is a trusted supplier of household cleaning hardware, prosumer-grade cleaning equipment, small domestic appliances and private-label consumer goods. They supply a mix of proprietary and partner brands into major supermarket channels, independent grocery, wholesale groups, membership-based retail formats and consumer electrical chains.
Operating from a modern head office and warehouse in Sydney's West, they manage end-to-end product sourcing, importing, packaging, inventory and national distribution. The business is lean, agile and relationship-driven – able to make fast commercial decisions without corporate red tape. They are now entering a strategic growth phase, expanding further into consumer electrical channels and enhancing their appliance and prosumer cleaning range.
Opportunity
This is a newly created position due to growth and increasing demand from retailers. You will take ownership of key retail accounts in grocery and associated FMCG channels, while also helping drive expansion into electrical, speciality and emerging retail channels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and grow existing retail accounts within FMCG, supermarket, grocery and wholesale channels.
 - Lead range reviews, pricing negotiations, promotional planning, trading term discussions and category development.
 - Develop and implement promotional calendars, pricing strategies and trade spend budgets.
 - Analyse sales data (Aztec, Quantium or similar) to provide insights, forecasts and category recommendations.
 - Ensure accurate product data, pricing, compliance and submissions across retail systems and vendor portals.
 - Support channel growth into consumer electrical, appliance and speciality retail environments.
 - Identify new opportunities in hardware, online retail, membership-based formats and niche consumer channels.
 - Collaborate across marketing, supply chain and product development teams to ensure commercial execution.

Ideal Candidate
You will be someone who has managed key retail accounts at head office level within FMCG across grocery channels into major supermarket outlets or across consumer electronic products in the electrical retail sector (or both).
Products you may previously sold into either channel may include (but isn't limited to):
- Into FMCG / Grocery Channels: household consumables, cleaning hardware, food storage products, general merchandise, home organisation items, kitchenware, small domestic essentials or private-label consumer goods.
 - Into Consumer Electrical / Appliance Channels: small domestic appliances (kettles, toasters, blenders), floorcare equipment (vacuum cleaners, steam mops, hard-floor cleaners), air treatment products, garment care appliances or prosumer/home-cleaning machines.
 
You will also bring:
- Experience dealing directly with retail head office buyers – not just store-level or distributor sales
 - Strong understanding of pricing, rebates, promotional programs, trading terms and category planning
 - Confidence working with sales and scan data (Aztec, Quantium or equivalent) to drive insights and decisions
 - Commercial maturity, accountability and a stable working history
 - Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across internal teams
