Your new role:

As an Administration Officer within the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of high-quality health services for the Inala Indigenous Health Service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing timely and accurate administrative support to clinical and operational teams.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for clients and community members, managing appointments and inquiries efficiently.
  • Coordinating correspondence, records, billing processes (Medicare and WorkCover), and maintaining accurate client documentation.
  • Contributing to continuous quality improvement and ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.

About you:

We are seeking an organised and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes through excellence in administration.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of office procedures and administrative systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications including Microsoft Office, Medicare, and WorkCover systems.
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, managing competing priorities with professionalism and care.
