Community Arts Network is an arts producer working at the forefront of community arts and cultural development practice. For 40 years we’ve been working at the intersection of art, equity and community — turning creative expression into a catalyst for social change. Our skilled operational and project team work with communities to amplify voices and use art to reimagine what inclusion and justice can look like in Western Australia.

As General Manager, you will be the backbone of the team, turning creative purpose into measurable impact. Your adept operational skills and business rigour will be central to an effective and efficient organisation, and a safe and positive company culture. This role is for someone who has a passion for operational systems and processes, strong budgeting and financial skills, and experience with grant proposals.

Role purpose:

The General Manager will support and work closely with the CEO, managing operations, monitoring organisational performance and risk, and overseeing CAN programs.

Key responsibilities include:

General operations and management

Grant contract management

Human resources management

Financial management and compliance

Evaluation and social impact measurement

Risk and policy management

Executive reporting

This is a fixed 12-month term parental leave cover contract, offering 38 hours per week. The salary will be set, pending experience, between Level 6.1 and 7.3 in the SACS Interim Award 2011, $100,000 – $110,000 per annum plus superannuation
