We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Qualified Chef to join our small team at The Vines Golf Club of Reynella.

Our Chefs provide a consistent and high-quality standard of food to our members, their guests and visitors six days per week. Our kitchen operates for breakfast from Wednesday to Sunday, lunches from Tuesday to Sunday and dinner service on Thursday and Friday evenings as well as for some functions and Corporate events.

The key responsibilities will include:

Hands on approach to food service within the kitchen whilst maintaining high levels of service on a daily basis;

Strong focus on quality and stock control;

Continuation of set procedures to create consistent practices within the kitchen;

Maintaining strong team morale;

The ability to adapt to different kitchen requirements and work alongside a small team;

Maintain a clean, tidy and well-prepared service area;

Able to work autonomously or within a small team; and

Be self motivated.

The ideal candidate will have:

Current Australia trade qualification;

Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate;

A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work;

Ability to work autonomously

A strong work ethic and a passion for preparing high quality food;

The ability to maintain high workloads, and meet deadlines within specific time frames;

Excellent communication skills;

A friendly customer service demeanour;

Prior experience desired in staging outstanding food services in a restaurant or hotel setting;

Initiative, commitment and passion for your job;

The ability to work under pressure;

Attainment of the necessary Food Handler’s certificate; and

A strong appreciation and compliance of workplace safety.
