Coffin Bay is situated on the western point of the Eyre Peninsula just 35 minutes drive from Port Lincoln in South Australia. Coffin Bay is the oyster capital of the world and the entry of the picturesque Coffin Bay National Park with some of the best fishing grounds in the country.

Our busy kitchen produces more than 250 meals per day during peak season. Our hotel offers an extensive à la carte menu for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Our daily menu includes a variety of local seafood, steaks & other meats, pizzas and a variety of weekly specials. This position requires experience running multiple fryers, pans and grill cooking steaks to order and coordinating other cooks, kitchen hands and wait staff.

Requirements:

· Experience in a similar position

· Food safety supervisor certification

. Rostering staff

. Working to budgets

. Liaising with suppliers and ordering stock

· Ability to work split shifts

· High level of communication and integrity

· Efficient and reliable

Desirable (but not essential):

· Formal Qualification – Commercial cookery (or similar)

Onsite accommodation package is available for the right candidate. Spacious motel room with ensuite, fridge, microwave, tv, and laundry facilities.

This is an ongoing casual position however, if you are looking for a short-term summer role and can commit to a minimum of 4 months work (Christmas - Easter) this could be your perfect opportunity! Please state your intentions in your cover letter.

Bar Attendant

As a member of our front of house team you will be responsible for serving tap and packaged beer, wine and standard mixed drinks in both our main bar and dining bar areas. You will also assist our kitchen in staff serving meals to tables, clearing plates and other associated duties.

Requirements

· Previous experience in a similar role

· Current South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol

· Current manual drivers license (desirable)

Gaming Attendant

Our gaming attendants cover all the duties of our bar attendants in addition to maintaining our 10 gaming machines and TAB terminal.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in a similar role

· Current South Australian Responsible service of Alcohol

· Current South Australian Responsible Service of Gambling (minimum RSG1)

· Current manual driver’s license (not essential but highly desirable)

· Responsible Person badge (not essential but highly desirable)

Kitchen Hand

Our kitchen hands assist with serving plates to customers in the dining room, clearing tables, basic food prep, assisting Chef/Cooks, operating the automatic dishwasher, manually washing large pots and pans, cleaning/sanitising benches, sweeping/mopping floors.

These are often split shifts covering lunch and dinner service.
