Harbison Overview

Harbison is a charitable, community-owned, not-for-profit organisation that provides residential and non-residential care and support services for aged or disabled people, including a range of support services and systems to assist aged and disabled people to achieve maximum independence and integration within a residential or community setting, education and training of professionals and other care providers, and activities which are incidental or conducive to these objectives.

Currently, Harbison is an approved aged care provider, registered NDIS provider, approved childcare provider, retirement village owner, and one of the largest employers in the Southern Highlands. Harbison is governed bya Board of Directors which appoints a Chief Executive Officer who is delegated with day-to-day responsibilityfor the organisation.

Primary purpose of the role

This role provides the People & Culture team with a broad range of administrative & operational support across the entire employee cycle with a focus on Recruitment. You are contributing to delivering effective and efficient HR activities & programs and coordinating information & communication workflows for employee processes.

The Recruitment Coordinator will assist and support the delivery of the recruitment strategy and ensure that recruitment requirements meet the organisation's needs. This will also entail associated compliance checks in line with relevant standards.

The role will be focused on building relationships with Hiring Managers and candidates to ensure a streamlined recruitment and onboarding process is implemented from beginning to end, supporting the strategic direction of Harbison.

The Recruitment Coordinator will also support Harbison's succession planning and employee engagement initiatives to support career pathways, professional development, skill mix and employee retention.

Key accountabilities

Support and administer recruitment and onboarding activities, including (but not limited to) identifying recruitment channels, developing job advertisements and interview guides, coordinating and conducting interviews and drafting, compiling & checking new starter documentation, and liaising with candidates.

Support the HR and recruitment strategy and help identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes, procedures, and systems, including regular reporting, developing metrics, and documentation auditing for managers and employees to support and encourage continuous improvement.

Support the learning and development culture by supporting a robust and engaging onboarding program and induction whilst managing performance and development records.

Maintain accurate HRIS data and prepare regular reports and statistics.

Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation, practices, and statutory requirements including, but not limited to: NDIS/WWCC.

Support Diversity & Inclusion within recruitment practices assisting Harbison to become an Employer of Choice and leaders in the Industry.

Assist with design and implementation of recruitment strategy, including consulting with department managers regarding staffing and role requirements.

Assist in implementing functional policies and processes.

Assist with developing and maintaining succession planning initiatives to support the overall workforce strategy and provide support to help employees develop clear career pathways.

Support the People & Culture team in investigating, developing, and maintaining employee engagement initiatives to promote workforce retention.

Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.

Build and manage relationships with potential candidates, hiring managers and key stakeholders (including recruitment agencies, providers, and possible candidate pipelines).

Assisting the Workplace Trainer with administrative duties.

Participate in organisation-wide and team meetings, collaborative planning activities and other meetings or activities relevant to the position.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes, ensuring services meet the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualifications include a business / human resource management degree and/or equivalent recognised industry training.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a recruitment role.

Strong administration and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail

Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively and productively with a wide variety of stakeholders with the confidentiality, professionalism and discretion required in a Human Resources function

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook and preferably experience using HRIS databases and online systems

Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage to compete and change priorities and deliver to deadlines
