Why Join Us?
At Allied Universal Compliance and Investigations, we're more than just the national leader in our field—we're a team built on 36 years of integrity and a passion for doing things the right way.
Our long-standing partnerships with Australia's top insurers are a testament to our professional approach and, most importantly, our incredible people. We know that supporting our team is the key to our success. As our new Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist, you will be at the very heart of that mission, finding the best talent in the country and giving them an exceptional welcome.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist to join our dynamic People and Culture team.
This is a key, autonomous role where you will take ownership of two critical functions: managing our end-to-end talent acquisition and running our specialised investigator induction programme. Reporting to the Executive Manager - People and Culture, this is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive HR professional who is passionate about both attracting high-quality talent and setting them up for success.
What You'll Do
This is a hybrid role with two primary focus areas:
1. Talent Acquisition (approx. 60%)
Drive the complete, end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from writing job briefs and advertising to screening, interviewing, and contract generation.
Develop innovative talent acquisition strategies, including building sourcing channels, talent pooling, and enhancing our employer brand.
Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics like time-to-fill and cost-per-hire.
2. Investigator Onboarding & Induction (approx. 40%)
Take full ownership of the new investigator onboarding and induction process, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
Design, develop, and deliver bespoke onboarding modules and resources (workshops, manuals, e-learning) focused on our internal processes and systems.
Implement and manage individual onboarding plans for all new investigators, tracking their progress to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Personally facilitate investigator-specific induction sessions and workshops.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a mid to senior HR role, with strong operational expertise in both end-to-end recruitment and coordinating onboarding/induction programs.
Proven experience in developing and facilitating onboarding materials and coordinating training schedules.
The ability to operate autonomously and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to partner with senior leaders.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to deliver induction training.
Strong knowledge of relevant Australian employment legislation.
Desirable, but not essential:
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
Experience in an investigative environment.
Experience using HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
What We Offer
A competitive Total Remuneration Package of circa $100,000 p.a.
A flexible and supportive work environment, including WFH option.
An autonomous role where you can make a tangible impact.
The opportunity to be a key member of a strategic People and Culture team.
How to Apply
If you are a passionate recruitment specialist who loves setting new employees up for success, we would love to hear from you.
Apply Now by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in both recruitment and onboarding.
Please note: Only applicants deemed suitable for the advertised role will be contacted.
