About the role

We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team at Acan Group Pty Ltd in West Melbourne, VIC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of our accounting operations. This is a part-time position, offering you the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

Performing daily bookkeeping tasks such as recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable

Preparing and submitting BAS and IAS statements in a timely manner

Generating financial reports and providing insights to management

Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes

Maintaining the integrity of our accounting systems and data

Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a small to medium-sized business

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Proficiency in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Accounting or similar
