About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team at the AJ Oncology Consulting Group located in East Melbourne, VIC. This is a part-time role offering flexible working arrangements to accommodate your needs.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service

Scheduling and coordinating appointments, ensuring efficient patient flow

Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services

Maintaining accurate medical records and patient files

Assisting with administrative tasks such as medical billing and inventory management

Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

What we're looking for

Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry

Minimum of 6-12 months experience as a medical receptionist or in healthcare customer service

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians and other stakeholders

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to handle a busy and varied workload

Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record systems

A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients

Flexibility to work in a part-time capacity, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules

Availability for part-time hours and days to be discussed during the application process
