The Role

We're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across one of our major event portfolios. Working closely with the Group Marketing Director and Portfolio Director, you will be pivotal in defining target audiences, establishing the brand's value proposition and key messages and managing marketing activity to drive exhibitor and visitor growth. This includes attendee acquisition and audience development campaigns, lead generation, and relationship management programs for exhibitors, sponsors and other stakeholders.

What you’ll do

This is a leadership role - ideal for someone who combines creativity with commercial focus, can manage multiple moving parts, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Planning & Strategy

Develop an overarching marketing campaign for your event(s) that aligns with organisational goals.

Identify key target audiences, create customer personas, and define the brand’s value proposition and key messages.

Execute high-performing marketing campaigns, ensuring maximum penetration and response within budget and timelines.

Develop a deep understanding of industry sectors covered by the events to drive campaign success and identify growth opportunities.

Collaborate with the sales team to create effective sales strategies for new client growth and increased client retention.

Use analytics, CRM and campaign performance data to drive decisions, test new ideas and optimise spend.

Identify and articulate the differentiators that position your event as best-in-class within its sector.

Execution & Management

Own the customer experience journey, overseeing all marketing touchpoints from website to on-site experiences.

Develop strategic attendee growth plans and ensure marketing communications accurately reflect event positioning and key messaging.

Create compelling content, dynamic videos, and persuasive marketing copy to inspire action.

Manage an ‘always-on’ digital and social media strategy to support exhibitor and visitor growth.

Oversee the creative and design process for marketing materials and execute community-building and social media strategies.

Coordinate external marketing suppliers and manage relationships with media, associations, exhibitors, sponsors, and talent for cross-promotional campaigns.

Ensure websites, landing pages and campaign assets are continuously optimised for UX, SEO and conversion.

Ensure brand integrity and consistency across all communications, aligning tone and creative with the company’s broader event portfolio.

Work closely with content, operations and sales to ensure all event features, speakers and partnerships are effectively marketed and commercially leveraged.

Manage team members to ensure timely and effective completion of all event tasks.

Manage PR strategy and cultivate media relations across all channels.

Monitoring & Results

Regularly review marketing plans, response rates, KPIs, attendee demographics, and industry best practices to ensure effectiveness.

Manage and report on marketing budgets.

Communicate accurate and timely weekly reports on the performance of marketing initiatives to the team and management.

Contribute to post-event reviews to capture lessons learned and refine future strategies.

Other Responsibilities

Attend events and take responsibility for core projects, features and activations.

Support the Group Marketing Director on additional projects and initiatives as required.

What you’ll bring

5+ years’ experience in marketing management (preferably within events, media, or B2B).

Strong track record in planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns.

Proven ability to use data and insights to drive performance and decision-making.

Confident across digital channels, automation tools, CRM, analytics, and social platforms.

Excellent copywriting, briefing, and project management skills.

Experience leading people or cross-functional teams.

High attention to detail, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to juggle priorities.

Works well independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
